Fido

Fido is a typical movie about the boy next door and his pet -- except in this case the loyal "pet" is a lumbering zombie named Fido (Billy Connolly). Problems arise when he breaks loose and noshes on the next-door neighbor, forcing owner Timmy Robinson (K'Sun Ray) into damage-control mode while he tries to persuade his parents (Carrie-Anne Moss and Dylan Baker) to keep Fido in director Andrew Currie's imaginative horror-comedy.

This movie was quite a weird little crack and everything we view in society. Do yourself a favor and rent it. It will twist your mind a little.

Borat

NetFlix: Fans of the HBO comedy series "Da Ali G Show" will be delighted to join one of their favorite characters -- the Kazakhstani reporter Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen, in a Golden Globe-winning role) -- as he travels to America to report on the "greatest country in the world." Camera in tow, the boorish journalist sets off on his cross-country road trip, but his original purpose is soon subsumed by a much greater quest -- finding and marrying actress Pamela Anderson.

Me: OK, I missed the type. I didn't fall into the trap. I didn't go along with the masses and rush down to see "funniest movie I've ever seen....hilarious....a riot." Yes, those were words used by friends who saw this movie. It was funny, but not THAT funny. Again, worth a view, but not worth the full ticket price, by any means. Oh, and I saw a couple of the Ali G shows. I thought they were stupid, so no wonder I'm only giving this 3 stars.

Jackass Number Two

In the second film based on the infamous MTV series of the same name, Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Bam Margera and the rest of the gang continue to shun dignity and embrace danger in a series of idiotic feats. As always, the gross-out factor is high in stunts involving horse semen, a fake beard made out of pubic hair and more as the crew travels to India in this Jeff Tremaine-directed sequel.

Not bad, but they didn't quite capture the raw essense and finite juxtapositions for the true charater dynamics (antagonist/protagonist) of the first Jackass movie.

Bowfinger

Lame producer Bobby Bowfinger (Steve Martin) has a script that's brimming with possibilities. The catch? To get seed money to produce the film, it must feature Hollywood's leading box-office star, Kit Ramsey (Eddie Murphy). Aided and abetted by a cast and crew of misfits, Martin makes one last stab at overnight success. Hilarity is the result.

I enjoy this show and on it, they talked about this movie, so I rented it.

I thought this was classic Eddie. Worth the view, easy

Team America: World Police

Trey Parker and Matt Stone apply their acerbic wit to global crime-fighting in this satire starring an all-marionette cast. Team America is a police force that takes on the challenging role of keeping the peace in a troubled planet. Wherever there appears to be a dictator itching to rule the world, the heroes fly in to dismantle the government. The team's newest recruit is Gary Johnston, a Broadway star who just may have found his true calling.

My Promulgation: This is the best potty humor movie I've seen. It was fantastic. If you are a South Park fan, you will love this movie. Watch the extended cuts on the DVD. Amazing what they did with the puppetry….Not like with their pensises, but still very interesting and funny all the same. If you are easily offended, then GFY.

Puppetry of the Penis

This bizarre but compelling cult theatrical hit features two naked Australian men -- David Friend and Simon Morley -- who have the amazing ability to play tricks using nothing but their genitalia, in tandem with hilarious commentary. Filmed at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne, this performance shows some of the duo's best work. Please note: Due to the nature of the performance, this disc includes full-frontal nudity.

My Promulgation: Two guys on stage doing bizarre thing with their dongs. I couldn't imagine an on stage practice session where you actually atempt to stretch your nut sack in any way, shape or form. Before getting into the hot tub. I tried two of these stunts after viewing this movie. It was a painful and humbling experience. Those fucking Aussies…..They are so weird, and I guess, based upon this footage, they have very flexible scrotums.

Scrotum = Nutsack.....

1. important piece of male genitals that holds and protects the inner testes
2. a stupid fucker who does or says dumb shit and will not stop

1. Mother, once you are through with dinner, will you please wash my nutsack?
2. Mother, that kid Timmy is a frickin' nutsack.

Bottle Rocket

Three best friends attempt to escape their suburban boredom through a life of crime. But, these bickering, bumbling thieves are no match for the local 'godfather' who leads them into the biggest heist of their careers.

My Promulgation: I think this was funny movie, but I'll be fucked if I remember why.

Swingers

Description: In director Doug Liman's career-making look at twenty-something guys, struggling comedian Mike (Jon Favreau) despairs over his love life, so his four pals, fellow Hollywood hopefuls, pump up his nightlife. Buddy (Vince Vaughn), offering dubious lessons on "babes," even whisks Mike to Vegas. Although their attempts at living la vida loca seldom work out as fantasized, Mike meets one woman (Heather Graham) who might finally break his funk.

My Promulgation: I dug this movie and think both Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn are hilarious. It's so money.

Amilie

Description: Impish gamine Amélie (Audrey Tautou) lives alone and works in a café. When she finds a trove of toys hidden for 40 years behind a baseboard in her apartment, she's inspired to repatriate the items, an impulse of generosity that sparks more benevolent acts. A celebration of life, Amélie reminds us of the small wonders that abound around us … if only we paused to look.

My Promulgation: This was a unique and cute movie.

An Everlasting Piece

Description: Entrepreneurs Colm (Barry McEnvoy) and George (Brian F. O'Byrne) try to grow their toupee business in director Barry Levinson's comedy set in Northern Ireland. The partners are tired of cutting hair in the town prison, so when the man who supplies all the townsfolk with hairpieces is incarcerated, the two seize the opportunity. The trouble begins when competition arrives and the pair must sell 30 toupees in a race to remain on top.

My Promulgation: An cute story, funny movie and I've actually been to LondonDerry Ireland.

Office Space

Description: It's Dilbert come to life when office drone Ron Livingston breaks free from the shackles of his cubicle environment and conspires with cohorts to embezzle money from their soulless, high-tech company. With pointed jabs at corporate life's nihilism, Office Space boasts a standout performance from Stephen Root as a prototype workplace nerd. Written and directed by Mike Judge, creator of "Beavis and Butt-head."

My Promulgation: If you've ever worked for a piece of shit company or a big nasty monopoly with a million employees, or so it seemed that way, you will completely understand this movie in every way. Ron Livingston was pretty decent but Jennifer Aniston was her one- dimensional self, but she's cute so everybody likes her. This too, is a contributor to my recent decision to shit can it all, at least for a while.

Greenfingers

Description: A (green) thumbs-up for this affecting true-life tale about hardened con Colin Briggs (Clive Owen), who gets a new lease on life -- behind prison bars -- as an award-winning gardener. Wonderful in support are David Kelly as a prisoner chum of Briggs's who coaxes him out of his shell and Helen Mirren as a world-class gardener who fears for her daughter when she falls for Briggs.

My Promulgation: Similar to An Everlasting Piece I liked this movie.

Four Rooms

Description: One mad New Year's Eve, an overwhelmed bellboy (Tim Roth) copes with witches and diabolical children, gets caught in the middle of a sour relationship and settles a bloody bet for members of a superstar's entourage. Featuring four stories by a quartet of hot directors (Allison Anders, Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino), Four Rooms is a comedy like no other.

My Promulgation: Funny flick. One particular sceen with the "finger" was a screen.

Big Fish

Description: William Bloom (Billy Crudup) tries to learn more about his dying father, Edward (Albert Finney), by piecing together the facts out of the various fantastic tales and legends of epic proportions he's been told over the years. Edward was a traveling salesman, and his journeys throughout the South are the seed of the tales. Directed by Tim Burton, the movie co-stars Ewan McGregor (as the young Edward), Helena Bonham-Carter and Steve Buscemi.

My Promulgation: I don't remember a damned thing about this film, but it sounds kind cool. I would say that I should rent it, but I already have. Rent it and tell me if you think as much about this as I do.

The Producers (1968)

In this hysterical farce, rapacious but lovable producer Max Bialystock (Zero Mostel) hasn't had a hit in years. Quite by accident, he and his meek, neurotic accountant, Leo Bloom (Gene Wilder), come up with a plot to oversell shares in a surefire flop musical and make off with the profits -- using the worst play ever written, "Springtime for Hitler." Inspired, manic performances and Brooks's lively direction make The Producers a true gem.

Couldn't do it. It didn't hold me, and I love Gene Wilder.
